Library Friends of Payson
Special Events
A grant from the Arizona Humanities Council will bring a series of speakers
from its “Road Scholars” Speakers Bureau to the Library Friends of Payson’s
monthly lecture series. On June 25, the community is invited, free of
charge, to hear Edward Williams, Professor Emeritus of Comparative Politics
and Latin American Studies, University of Arizona, speak on the Cultural and
Economic Melding on the Arizona/Sonora Border”.
The meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Payson Public Library’s Meeting
Room. Lectures will continue each month, on the fourth Thursday, through
November. Library Friends is a volunteer support group for the library. All
members also are encouraged to attend.
