Q. What is the Homebound Program and how does it work?

A. The program is open to anyone in the Payson area who cannot get to the Library (even temporarily) - shut-ins, those with no transportation and those who cannot get out during regular business hours. Clients are required to have a Payson Public Library card. We can assist them in the application process, if necessary. Each client is interviewed for preferences or special needs (favorite authors or genres, Large Print books, books on tape or CD, etc) and is then assigned a regular Volunteer who will check out books on the client's card, deliver them and return them to the Library. We keep records of what each client reads so there will be no duplicates. The service is free and the client can cancel at any time.

We have a downloadable PDF file of the Shut-In application. Approximately 200kb in size.

Click her to view and/or download/print.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view  PDF files. If you don't have it installed, click here to get the free download.  Uncheck the two "Also Download "boxes then click the DOWNLOAD button.
