The Library Friends of Payson, Inc
MISSION: The Library Friends of Payson, Inc., is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide financial and community support to the Payson Public Library. We believe that public libraries comprise an integral aspect of community identity and development, and we support endeavors that encourage literacy and free inquiry within the individual, the family, and society.

Payson Public Library.
PROJECTS WE SPONSOR: We are an Annual Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase participant.
We maintain the LFOP bookstore (a used bookstore in the Payson Public Library). Staffing is done entirely by volunteers.

Library Bookstore Specials for April
During April we are offering all books on the 50 cents shelves at two for the price of one. There are three 50 cent shelves, one in the lobby and two outside the door to the Bookstore, which adds up to a lot of choice! Purchase one of our eco-friendly tote bags for $1.50 to get all your “finds” home.
We have a selection of Large Print books, Craft and Sewing books, Biographies, Sports, Hobbies, Science Fiction, Travel and many more.
The Bookstore is located in the Payson Library, 328 N. McLane Rd., just inside the main entrance to the right.
During May we will offer two for the price of one on all Home Decorating, Home Repair, Craft, Sewing and Quilting books as well over sized Table Top books. As always the second item must be of equal or lesser value than the first.

On Monday, April 17, 2017, the Library Friends of Payson are pleased to have Gila County Superior Court Judge Timothy M. Wright present a program on the Fundamentals of the Courts. Participants will learn about and discuss the three branches of government, separation of powers, equal justice under the law, and the meaning and importance of fair and impartial courts. This one hour presentation is part of a larger program from the Arizona Supreme Court. After the interactive presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
Judge Timothy M. Wright took office on January 1, 2015, and became the 11thelected official to serve as Superior Court Judge for Gila County. His Court calendar includes a variety of matters, including criminal, civil, juvenile, dependency, probate and domestic relations. Judge Wright and his family have been Gila County residents since 1996. He has a Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University.
The Library Friends presentation for the community, which is held in the library meeting room, will start with a short business meeting at 10 a.m. and the program begins at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to both the business meeting and the free one hour program. A special invitation is extended to high school and college students. If you have any questions, please call the library at 928-474-9260.
