Attention Library Friends:

Holidays fall on our regular meeting dates in January and February; therefore, we will meet on the fourth Mondays of these two months. Please mark your calendars for LFOP meetings on January 23 and February 27. More information to follow!

MISSION: The Library Friends of Payson, Inc., is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide financial and community support to the Payson Public Library. We believe that public libraries comprise an integral aspect of community identity and development, and we support endeavors that encourage literacy and free inquiry within the individual, the family, and society.

HISTORY: Like many of Rim Country's finest service organizations, "The Library Friends" were established as a 'grassroots' effort to support the growing Payson Public Library.

We have evolved from just providing books -- to purchasing computers and other equipment & funding Public Library programs that would not otherwise be covered in its Town and County budget.

SERVICES WE PROVIDE: We offer a Free Library Services for Homebound Individuals - through our "Library Buddy Program." We also purchase books and supplies for Payson Public Library.

PROJECTS WE SPONSOR: We are an Annual Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase participant.

We maintain the LFOP bookstore (a used bookstore in the Payson Public Library). Staffing is done entirely by volunteers.

During the month of January the Library Friends of Payson Bookstore is featuring a storewide clearance sale. All paperback and hardback books will be offered at two for the price of one. Videos will be 50 cents or 2 for $1.00. Hurry in to take full advantage of these incredible bargains. It’s a great way to ensure that you have plenty of reading and viewing material for the cold months of winter yet to come. What better way to spend those frosty days than curled up with a good book or movie and something warm to drink!

The Bookstore constantly receives high quality donations. Volunteers place these books on the shelves as quickly as possible. Therefore, the wise patron will stop by frequently during January. The LFOP Bookstore is located to the right of the circulation desk just inside the Payson Public Library, 328 N. McLane Road.
